RTI Helps a Farmer to get his pending PM KISAAN Installment.

Dear Citizens, In this article, I would like to put up how RTI can be used  as a tool by the citizens. Success Story :- A farmer named A Narsimha Reddy, from Telanagan worried about his pending 13th installment of Rs. 2,000 of PM KISAN which is supposed to get credited in his account on 27th February,2023. But, a few months ago he closed one of his Bank Accounts and opened a new account, ideally, the amount should get credited to his new account as the same is linked with AEPS - Aadhar Enabled Payment System.  He went from pillar to post, but none of them were aware of what should be done. The State Agriculture Department is clueless citing they don't have the option to update the bank details, as the same is a central-sponsored scheme.  He asked me if I could do anything for him and get back the pending instalment of PM KISAN, this is not the story of a single farmer, I have seen many such farmers who are clueless about what should be done and when they approach the bank or agricu

Whether ICAI will decrease your marks under RTI on suo-motu Verification?

Many students want to check their answer sheet, to know their mistakes, few students who scored good marks want to retain their copy as a memory or to guide his fellows about the presentation, applied for copies under the RTI Act, 2005 or under Institute procedure. But, worried about the possible decrease of marks on suo-motu verification by the ICAI. A student who scored say, 40 marks (pass) or 60 marks (exemption) in a subject or cleared single or both the groups with exactly 200 or 400 marks are in a panic situation, as what if ? their marks are decreased on suo-motu verification of marks, even though application is made only to view their certified copies without any verification. Will ICAI fail them? Friends, relax the answer is a big NO !! Let me say it clear, legally ICAI has no right to carry out suo-motu verification of marks when an application made under the RTI.  - Nowhere in the RTI application, we asked to carry out verification. - Nowhere we

RTI Portal Payment Failure Issue

Dear Friends, I came to know that many of you are facing issues while making the payment of Rs. 10/- towards the RTI application fee on the RTI portal for certified copies of answer sheets. There are some issues in the SBI payment gateway server and after making the payment amount is debited from the bank, but the applicant is not receiving any RTI Application registration number and is clueless on what to do next? It is advisable to file the RTI application without making any payment if you are falling under the below poverty line and have proof of the same like Food Security Card, Ration Card or any other card issued by the respective state authority. If you're not falling under the below poverty line category, you have to make the payment and there is no other alternative. Once you have made the payment and the amount is debited from your bank a/c but the registration number is not received, please do not make a fresh application again , the registration number would be sent to

Certified Copies under the RTI may be delayed : ICAI

Dear friends, Many of you have applied for certified copies of the answer sheets under the Right to Information Act (RTI), 2005. As per law, ICAI has to provide the same within 30days from the date of filing the RTI application. Few cases are reported, where students didn't receive answer sheets under the RTI even after the 30days, few filed First Appeal also, but again it will take another 30days to get a reply for the First Appeal. And many students received SMS that copies have been sent to the mail but no mail was received by the student. As lakhs of students are applying for copies under the RTI, it became a tedious task for the ICAI to provide the same within the time limit, as they are carrying out suo-motu verification of marks for the benefit of the students. Few students received copies even in 10-15days while others didn't receive even after 40-45 days. We don't know exactly how many days it will take to provide the copies but be assured that you'll receive

A Final student after receiving certified copies under the RTI Act, 2005 noticed that stepwise marks have been not awarded and drafted a mail to the CPIO and few Central Council Members and below is the copy of the reply from the Deputy Secretary (Examinations). It is to be noted that Suggested Answers are not the basis of the evaluation of answer books.

Statistics of CA Final Elective Paper November 2019

Hello Friends, I have reproduced the data obtained from the ICAI under the Right to Information Act, 2005 with regards to statistics of CA Final Elective paper from May 2018 to November 2019 examinations. Proof: I have enclosed the original RTI reply received from the ICAI, scroll down to download the same. Data is not to be considered as the sole criterion in choosing the elective paper. In fact, each and every subject is scoring, as you can see from the TOP marks secured in any particular subject. STAY AWAY FROM FAKE NEWS!!  ASK FOR THE SOURCE & PROOF. A couple of days after declaring the results, an app named FINAPP came up with the statistics on the 21st of January, 2020 claimed to be compiled by the editorial team. And it was shared by many students without any verification. The data published by FINAPP is baseless, as you can compare with the actual data/official data received directly from the ICAI under the RTI Act, 2005. This
