RTI Portal Payment Failure Issue

Dear Friends,

I came to know that many of you are facing issues while making the payment of Rs. 10/- towards the RTI application fee on the RTI portal for certified copies of answer sheets.

There are some issues in the SBI payment gateway server and after making the payment amount is debited from the bank, but the applicant is not receiving any RTI Application registration number and is clueless on what to do next?

It is advisable to file the RTI application without making any payment if you are falling under the below poverty line and have proof of the same like Food Security Card, Ration Card or any other card issued by the respective state authority.

If you're not falling under the below poverty line category, you have to make the payment and there is no other alternative.

Once you have made the payment and the amount is debited from your bank a/c but the registration number is not received, please do not make a fresh application again, the registration number would be sent to you later after reconciliation by the bank in 1-2 working days generally.

In case if you haven't received any registration number in 1-2 working days, please contact the RTI Portal Helpdesk at their landline  011-24622461, during normal office hours (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday except Public Holidays) or send an email with your transaction details to helprtionline-dopt@nic.in
